Paintings don't complain about dry air. Frigo does.
Exhibition rooms, display cases, depots and archives: the objects in them depend on stable temperature, humidity and light. Frigo records all three continuously and alerts your team the moment a reading leaves its range — with no cables and no drilling in historic walls.

Illustrative. Light is measured where it matters and enabled per location.
Objects suffer from swings. Frigo shows them.
Wood, paper, canvas and textiles react to change: humidity that swings every day does more harm than a value that is slightly off but steady. Frigo records every reading, so you see how stable a room really is — not just whether it crossed a line.
Exhibition rooms
Visitors bring heat and moisture. On busy days you see exactly when and how far the climate moves.
Display cases
A flat strip fits inside a case. The same strip can show when a case was opened — and what that did to its microclimate.
Depots & storage
The rooms nobody walks through for weeks. Continuous readings and an alert when something drifts — day, night and weekend.
Archives & libraries
Paper and bindings need dry, steady air. Frigo shows humidity creeping up long before mould has a chance.
Light-sensitive works
The same strip measures light where it matters — works on paper, textiles, photographs — enabled per location.
Loans & exhibitions
For incoming and outgoing loans: a continuous record of the conditions in each room, ready to share.
The questions you'd ask. Answered upfront.
Before anything goes into a gallery or a case, conservation wants to know what it touches, what it measures and what happens to the data. Here are the short answers.
Does it need cables or drilling?
No. Sensors are wireless and battery-powered and stick on. Nothing to drill into historic walls, no cables across galleries.
Can it go inside a display case?
Yes. The sensor is a flat strip that sticks to the inside of the case — never to the object itself.
Does it measure light?
Where it matters. The same strip can measure light levels. We enable it per location, for rooms and cases with light-sensitive works.
Does it touch our network?
No. Sensors talk to Frigo's own connectivity unit, which runs on its own connection. Nothing joins your network.
Where is the data hosted?
In the EU. Readings, alerts and reports are stored on EU infrastructure. Your team opens everything in the browser.
We have several buildings and depots.
That's the point. Rooms and cases are grouped by site, building and floor — the museum and every depot in one account, one view.
When a lender asks, it's one export.
Loan agreements, facility reports and insurers ask for the conditions an object lived in. Frigo stores every reading and records every excursion with its start, end and duration — a complete, time-stamped climate and light record for every room and case.
A monthly report per device is included; more frequent reports can be added. Frigo AI adds a short plain-language summary that points out recurring patterns, like a gallery that gets humid every Sunday.
By room & case
| Space | Avg temp | RH min–max | Light avg | Excursions |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Gallery 1 | 20.8 °C | 46–53 % | 142 lux | 0 |
| Gallery 2 | 21.1 °C | 47–57 % | 118 lux | 2 · Sundays |
| Display case 4 | 20.4 °C | 48–51 % | 48 lux | 0 |
| Depot A | 18.9 °C | 47–50 % | — | 0 |
| Archive | 17.6 °C | 41–45 % | — | 0 |
All rooms and cases stayed in range for almost all of September. Gallery 2 went above 55 % RH on two Sunday afternoons, during the busiest visitor hours. Display case 4 held its microclimate within 3 % RH all month.

Stick on the sensors
One per gallery, display case, depot room or archive. Stick it on — no drilling, no cables, galleries stay open.
Plug in connectivity
At least one unit per building, into a normal socket. It connects every sensor without touching your network.
Set limits and recipients
Scan the QR code, name the room or case, set its limits — 45–55 % humidity for a depot, for example — and choose who gets notified: conservation, facility management, or both. Readings and records start the same day.
Every new setup starts with a 14-day evaluation period.
